This exhibition isn't conceived along the lines of Étienne de La Boétie's biography and neither concerns itself with the socio-historical context of his times, but solely focuses on his essay "Discourse on Voluntary Servitude" (Discourse de la servitude volontaire) and its reception (by his friend Michel Eyquem de Montaigne, Leo Tolstoi, Gustav Landauer, Ernst Friedrich).
This exhibition was on display from 28 January 2012 - 22 April 2012 at the Peace Gallery of Berlin's Anti-War-Museum.
